Barack Obama in his speech on Father’s day in Chicago discussed the problem of absent black fathers. “We need fathers to recognize that responsibility doesn't just end at conception,” he said. So “If fatherhood begins at conception, when does life begin?” When asked the question at the Saddleback Church, Obama said “answering the question would be above my pay grade”.
